FROM THREAD. TO BETTER.

When I first started out, my number one goal was to make the music industry BETTER.

I wanted to help artists be the best versions of themselves, I wanted them to express who they really are. That’s why I created a music blog in the first place. I wanted to ask the right questions.

Although I managed to create an amazing/loyal community with thread., I stopped feeling connected to that name. I realized I needed to treat my company as a proper business (without losing its soul). When I googled “thread”, I would see tons of companies that had “thread” in their brand’s names, and it was even worse when you searched for “thread” on Instagram. My goal is to keep expanding my company worldwide and in the long run, that brand's name wouldn't do me any favor. In order to be unique, I had to come up with something else.

This was not an easy decision to make. thread. made me believe in myself and it allowed me to create something I believed in. But thread. is still a part of me and my story.

At the end of the day, I believe this change is a smart decision. It’s a new beginning and I’m very excited.

“What are your thoughts on today’s music industry? If you could change one thing, what would it be?” I ask this question to every artist I feature on my blog.

The music industry is not the worst but it’s not always the best. There are things that need to improve. I want more women in this industry, I want more equality, I want more respect, I want more acceptance, I want people to genuinely care about the artists they’re “working” with, I want people to genuinely believe in artists. I want artists to be fairly paid for their art.

BETTER shares people’s stories in the most authentic way. With the help of artists and music, we talk about topics that matters: mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, being a woman in the music industry etc... But we also talk about YOUR stories because YOUR stories matter.

This place is a community that will accept you for who you are. A place that will support you no matter what your goals are.

If you’re still here supporting me and if you’re still following my journey, thank you for sticking around. I honestly can’t thank you enough. I couldn’t do it without you. It’s been quite a journey but I am now ready to grow as a person and as an entrepreneur, and I hope you will still be in my corner.

And don’t worry, I will keep doing the same things, but in a much BETTER way - at least I hope so :) I also want to do more for the world, with the help of artists and music.

I always ask this question when I interview artists: “In your opinion, what would make the world a better place?”

Well, let’s make the world a BETTER place with music, with you <3

Love,

Virginie
