"Hello tiger, be my friend", track-by-track by Emma Lindquist

1. Hello Tiger (Instrumental)
Flying across the plains – landing in the universe.

2. Galaxy
About falling in love and feeling all the insecurities rise to the surface. A song about not feeling good enough, but trying to surrender to love and believe that healing is possible. A quiet starry sky in the middle of a stormy infatuation.

3. If I Met Somebody New
A song about not daring to express your feelings. About wishing you were more expressive and brave enough to take chances. About being tired of missing out on relationships because it feels too risky to be vulnerable. A kind of “Lion King” energy that just wants to rise to the surface.

4. Can’t Just Leave Like That
A song about being in love, only to realise the person you love is with someone else—and leaving a concert halfway through because you can’t bear to see them together. An atmospheric and dynamic musical narrative about being confronted with an uncomfortable reality. A soundtrack for crying on the bus ride home.

5. Questions
A song about the questions I’m too afraid to ask, but that fill my mind. Does he have someone else? A song that feels like holding your breath, letting thoughts flow freely, and being hypnotised by the dizzying rhythm of the guitar. A reality check in the middle of a fantasy.

6. Stranger
A soundtrack for cycling through the city with a budding crush in your chest. A feeling of spring. Like a shield against the thoughts telling you it won’t work out. Just keep going anyway—it’ll be okay.

7. Closer to You
A playful, seductive and rhythmically insistent song about feeling free and sensual. A fantasy where there’s room for confidence and taking chances. Naive love and superficial infatuations. A song driven by a burning imagination and a seductive energy.

8. Feelings
A completely raw and honest glimpse into a swirl of insecurity, shame and despair. Confessions from a person in transition, hoping to feel more like themselves again. A one-take recording with an intimacy that is almost uncomfortable—but above all deeply moving.

9. Do You Think I’ll Be Okay? (Interlude)
Atmospheric and dramatic.

10. Giovanni
A song about encountering great love and becoming aware of how loving someone makes life feel both immense and incredibly fragile. Do we lose ourselves when we fall in love? What happens to us when we choose to be part of a “we”? A song about surrendering to the romantic and the dramatic.

11. Darling
A song about the pain of watching someone you love be unhappy, and the desire to invite them into a bubble where nothing hurts. A calm, swaying declaration of love.
